In Person Counselling
You may choose between sessions that are 60 minute, 190 minutes, or 30 minutes long. These sessions commonly take place in my office.

Telephone Counselling
If you are unable to attend session in person due to geographical, physical or personal reasons, telephone counselling may be for you. You would have to book an appointment just like for a regular counselling session. At an agreed appointment time, I will call the number you provided. At the end of the session, you will be able to book another appointment. The fee for telephone counselling time are same as for session at my office. Fees are due before the session.
Please note, the service is NOT a crisis line. For callers in immediate need, every effort is made to connect them to the appropriate crisis service.

I currently use Skype with great success to work with clients who are unable to visit me in person or who prefer to work online. Skype is a FREE, easy to install, high quality video conferencing program. It's effective, confidential and can be very convenient for you.

Researchers also found that counseling sessions that are held while moving can actually be more effective. Some clients describe experiencing a powerful mind-body connection that happens when they discuss life’s challenges while walking with me side by side. Other clients find that it is much easier to talk while walking.

First Session
Your first counseling session might feel like the first day of school - you feel anxious, excited, fearful, hopeful, sad, happy... a whole range of emotions. In this session clients often discuss issues, feelings, and thoughts that brought them to counselling. I often help clients identify their counselling goals.

Second Session
Second session often begins with a brief review of the first session and further clarification of your counselling goals and we begin exploring how to reach these goals. We explore what we need to do in the session and what you need to do outside of the sessions for achieving your counselling goals.

Following Sessions
We begin each session with a focus on your progress. We also discuss important issues and roadblocks, as identified by you. We will discuss. We will regularly discuss your progress and talk about what is working for you in counselling and what does noo seem to work.

Last Session
Your counselling process is complete when you feel that the conserns that brought you to conselling have been adressed and resolved. However, you might have many other resons for terminating counselling and I alsways honour and support your decision. I believe that you know best!

Scheduling your Counselling Sessions
I am working in my private practice on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturday mornings. I recommend pre-booking your appointments, to avoid gaps between sessions. Pre-booking works best for clients who are confident that they will to continue working with me. And it is entirely optional.
