ICBC often covers the counselling costs of people who have been injured in automobile accidents. Contact ICBC or your lawyer to see if you are eligible.

If your counselling needs are in connection with a motor vehicle collision or other personal injury, and you have retained the services of a lawyer, you may be able to defer payment for counselling services until your claim is settled.

You can do this by  signing a legally binding document called a Direction to Pay, which directs your lawyer to pay counselling fees in full immediately upon settlement of your claim.

Fees for counselling provided under a Direction to Pay are $130 per session including GST.
