Vancouver Mental Health Emergency Services - Car 87/Car 88 Service and Crisis Line

Provides intervention to individuals in Vancouver for mental health crisis/emergency situations, in response to calls from police, health care professionals, clients, family members, and the general public. Car 87/Car 88 services include mobile response for crisis assessment and resolution, accompaniment to local emergency departments, and referrals to mental health teams, health care professionals, or other agencies; hours are 7:30 am to 3:30 am, seven days a week. Between 3:30 am and 7:30 am, also provides mental health crisis intervention by telephone for people experiencing a psychiatric emergency, feeling depressed or suicidal, or needing urgent support and information.
